Meet the Crew

We would like to take a couple of minutes to introduce you to those who make our dream possible.  We’ve included everybody—two legs, four legs, wings and fur.  Enjoy getting to know them all just a little better!

The men, the myths, the legends...

Zak and Aaron are the muscle behind the brains, so to speak.  Both young men have been instrumental in the development of the farm and the vision—first in Florida, and now in West Tennessee.

Security Crew

Working together, Bandit, Vito, Gianni, Huggy Bear, Snowman, and Sophia comprise our canine security team.  They keep our farm clear of varmints and trespassers of both the four and two-legged varieties.

Welcome Waggin’

In June, 2008, Bob appeared out of the woods.  Since then, he’s appointed himself “Chief Guest Welcomer”.  He’s sort of the canine equivalent of a Wal-Mart greeter...

Yard Monitor

Also arriving in June 2008, Seymour—who fancies himself a Great Deerenees—has whittled a niche for himself as Chief Supervisor of Yard Operations.  Now, if he could only figure a way to get rid of those EEEE-vil cows...

Pest Control Specialist

Jack, who came with the farm, quietly serves as our resident Pest Control Specialist.  Whether it is mice or snakes, rabbits or winged things, Jack is on the job taking care of business.  Rodents—BEWARE!

Nursery Guard

Born in February 2003, Cisco the Mini Donk stealthily slinks through the nursery, sneaking up and belting out a loud BRAAAAAAY should he find anything amiss.  Cisco also moonlights as a reindeer during the holidays...

Pasture Patrol

Emmie, Clemmie, and Suzy keep a watchful eye cast about the pasture, constantly scanning for intruders.  Against their very nature, these mini donk girls work closely with the Great Pyrenees to keep our pasture predator-free.

Chief Contraband Investigator

Always vigilant, Newman, our resident Suffolk sheep, is in charge of sniffing out and disposing of all edible contraband.  Thought you could sneak in a donut?  Baa Ha!Newmie will not rest until he finds it.

Bovine Grounds Crew

Mack, Violet, and April, mini Zebu cows, along with Anabel, the mini Lowline/Highland cross, work diligently to keep the grounds manicured.  They not only mow—they fertilize while they’re at it!

Ovine Grounds Crew

This is a grounds crew with “herbicidal” tendencies…  Our Jacob sheep—Jacob, Rachel, and baby “Spot”—make it their business to rid the nursery and yard of
as much herbage as they can eat.

Pasture Ornaments

Of course, no facility is complete without its decorations.  Thus, our “pasture ornaments”—the equine crew, both BIG and small.

Hob-Gobblins and Inscecticidal Maniacs

Our heritage-breed Bourbon Red turkeys will gobble from any post they can perch on, and our ducks—Rouens and Indian Runners—will wreak havoc on all the ticks and other critters they can find.

Visiting Artíste

Need a one-of-a-kind toad house with a “Chicken Run motif?  Need your silo “Butler” sign repainted?  How ‘bout a portrait of your bull?  This gal’s got the chops to pull it off!  She’s the one, the only—Phoenix’s very own—Jami

...What, you were expecting Georgia O’Keefe?
