Stillwaters Farm

Come be restored.

The Cottage at Stillwaters Farm

While a mere two miles outside of town, The Cottage lends itself to a bygone era—a time when life was slow and simple.  In short, a farm stay allows the guest the opportunity to rest, relax, and participate in activities that he or she would otherwise never experience.  At the farm, our guests can learn about gardening, livestock grooming, facilities modifications, animal husbandry, crop harvesting, or any number of activities going on at the farm during their stay.  And, should they desire to see what other farms offer, we can provide them with a list of area farms where they can learn there.

Stillwaters Farm, located in the heart of West Tennessee, boasts a 1000 square foot guest house on property.  Horns and sirens, traffic and commerce are a rarity around here.  Instead, guests will be bathed in the comfort sounds of the country—a donkey’s bray, a dog’s bark, a horse’s whinny, and, on occasion, our Suffolk sheep’s graceful, signature-baritone baa.

A butterfly garden, in full bloom most of the year, is just off the outdoor lounging area, so guests can expect a visit from the local hummingbirds (in season), graceful butterflies, and bumbling bees on the hunt for a load of pollen.  Songbirds, deer, ad turkey inhabit the woods and meadows all around.  A good book and a cup of hot tea will round out the farm experience.

Come, enjoy the peace of the country!

Your ticket to “nowhere”

What, exactly, IS a “farm stay”, anyway?

Well, with Bed and Breakfast stays, the guest is merely a traveler passing through or a tourist with a schedule.  However, at a “farm stay”, guests arrive with the expectation of getting away from it all—spending time experiencing a real farm.  Rather than succumb to the stress-laden timetable of a theme park vacation, our visitors participate in agritourism, learning the “rural” way of life, relaxing, and leaving the stresses of job and normal life behind.

While improvements are ongoing, Phase I renovations are complete.  Much work has gone into the transformation, and we are proud of the results.  The Cottage is currently available for stays ranging from one day to two weeks.  Make your reservations now!
